Rabat, Morocco (PANA) - King Mohammed VI of Morocco has chaired a cabinet meeting to discuss internal political matters in Dakhla, Western Sahara, according to a statement from the Royal Palace spokesman broadcast over public television TVM in Rabat.

It disclosed that the council of ministers approved several documents including a bill concerning medical care and decrees organising election operations.

Observers believe the Moroccan King held the cabinet meeting in Western Sahara to reaffirm Rabat's sovereignty over the tiny former Spanish colony as well as his "solemn refusal" to split the territory with the Polisario Front.
