Cape Town, South Africa (PANA) - Team Total Rallying will once again be the team to beat in the various classes that they will be contesting in the South African National Rally Championship this year.
Speaking in Johannesburg this week, team manager Andries van der Walt said Total was confident that the team could win four classes in 2002, adding that they expected Etienne Lourens and his new co-driver, Andre Vermeulen, to do battle in Class A7.
"I think that Lourens in the Toyota Corolla is really going to set the cat among the pigeons in this class. In addition, Lourens is a seasoned campaigner. He is no slouch behind the wheel. He is quick and consistent and a very clever competitor," Van der Walt boasted.
