A two-day strike by workers at David Whiteheads and Sons, a textile factory at Tongaat near Durban, has ended, their trade union said on Friday. The workers, all members of the SA Clothing and Textile Workers' Union (Sactwu), embarked on strike action on Wednesday claiming the company unilaterally slashed wages by about 15 percent in December last year.
