One of three alleged male prostitutes charged with murdering a gay client in Pretoria more than a year ago, claimed on Friday he was framed and had been offered R100000 to take the blame for the murder. Godfrey Lucky Vili, 25, testified in the Pretoria High Court before Justice Dion Basson that he was innocent and had been framed by his fellow accused, Quintin Herbst and Jan Michael van Heerden, both 18. He said two schoolgirls and a young prostitute who testified that he was involved in two robberies and a murder in November 2000 had lied to the court. Vili, Herbst and van Heerden have denied guilt on a charge of murdering Petrus Campher, 46, who was picked up at a park in Brooklyn, Pretoria. Van Heerden admitted that he robbed Campher of his car and had kicked and stabbed him, but said Vili had forced him to do so at gunpoint. Herbst and van Heerden both admitted to robbing two Centurion men of a car as well as electronic and other goods a few days earlier.
