SEOUL, May 1 Asia Pulse - Deputy Prime Minister Jeon Yun-churl today dismissed as undesirable any attempt to offer additional financial assistance to Hynix Semiconductor.
"How come additional financial assistance could be made to Hynix if we have the premise that Hynix cannot stand on its own ?" Jin told a group of reporters.
"Debt write-offs should also be considered fresh financial assistance."
Jeon expressed regret that the Hynix board of directors rejected the draft memorandum of understanding (MOU) for sale of Hynix to Micron Technology of the United States.
"We feel sorry and confused."
