JAKARTA, May 1 Asia Pulse - Japanese majors Mitsubishi Corp and Itochu are eyeing the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) business in Indonesia, but the price of this commodity in Indonesia has yet to be made more conducive for investment.
Pertamina's downstream industry director Muchsin Bahar following a meeting with LPG dalers here Tuesday confirmed that Mitsubishi has invited the state oil company to build an LPG terminal in Merak, Banten.
"Mitsubishi has conveyed the invitation for cooperation some time ago, but I think Pertamina should be the owner of the terminal to make us more competitive in the business of terminals as infrastructure," he said.
