DUBAI, May 1 Asia Pulse - The Islamic Republic of Iran was Dubai's biggest trade partner in the first quarter of 2002, according to an announcement by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
The trade coordinator of the Dubai Chamber, Atiq Jom'e said here Tuesday that Iran attracted 26 per cent of Dubai's total exports in the period, showing a 12 per cent increase over the same period last year.
He added that the value of the goods exported or reexported to Iran in the three-month period amounted to US$728.4 million, from US$679 million in the same period of 2001.
The total amount of goods exported or reexported from Dubai in the said period amounted to US$2.803 billion.
