The ruling party in Zimbabwe -- President Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF -- has undertaken to accept the results of the upcoming elections, the South African observer mission said on Friday. Welcoming the party's commitment the mission said: "This is indeed a very significant and encouraging announcement. It should be emulated and followed by all." The commitment was announced by the Speaker of Zimbabwe's Parliament and secretary general of Zanu-PF, Emmerson Mnangagwa. The leader of the observer mission, Dr Samuel Motsuenyane, said the announcement was critical to the success of the holding of free elections.
