"For 2002, employers faced the highest health plan cost increases in recent memory. Our survey snows that employees will bear more of this rising cost burden as employers continue to shift greater financial responsibility onto their work forces.
Employees will share more of the premiums, as well as the claim costs, through increased contributions, copays and deductibles. Only 25% of our survey group did not make cost-sharing changes [in 2002] (Figure 2).
