The Thai Asset Management Corporation (TAMC) has worked out several methods to solve bad debts in the property sector which accounts for 24 percent of 690 billion baht non-performing loans the agency bought from state and private banks, Manager Daily said on January 31, 2002.
TAMC president Lt Yodchai Chusri said the agency will cooperate with the National Housing Authority in selecting projects that are nearly completed or 80 - 90 percent complete and sell them at maximum one million baht through the Government Housing Bank and the Government Pension Fund programs.
