Siam Cement Plc yesterday announced a dividend payment of 10 baht per share due to its impressive performance results in 2001 and expected total sales this year would increase moderately by 5-10%.
The company made the latest dividend payment of 20 baht per share in 1996 before the country experienced the economic crisis.
Chumpol na Lamlieng, president of Siam Cement, said the company's total revenue in 2001 increased by 4% to122.64 billion baht from that of the previous year. It enjoyed net profits of 7.63 billion baht or 63.62 baht per share.
Given the overall financial position, the company's board saw it fit to seek approval from the shareholders' meeting for an annual dividend of 10 per share, to be paid on April 22.
