Six of the 10 member nations of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have agreed to consolidate gathering and exchange of intelligence on threats to national and regional security posed by terrorism-related activities and transnational crimes, according to a news report of Bernama News Agency.

Malaysian Defence Minister Najib Tun Razak told reporters that the agreement was reached at an informal meeting of military intelligence chiefs of Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand and the Philippines, held in Kuala Lumpur between January 28 and 30, said the news report of the Malaysian national news agency, which was received by TNA on Thursday.
