Cargill Dow presented NatureWorks PLA to the confectionery industry as the first commercially viable, all natural film and rigid packaging alternative at the ISM show held in Dusseldorf at the end of January. Developed by Minneapolis-based Cargill Dow LLC, NatureWorks PLA is a natural polymer made from annually renewable resources, such as corn, and is fully compostable in industrial and municipal compost facilities.
