East Central Division. (Division News).(Michigan Music Teacher's Association)(Brief Article)
The East Central Division competitions and meetings were held at Michigan State University in East Lansing in January. Michigan MTA (MMTA) is growing with the addition of the North Central chapter, located in Gaylord, and the Grand Valley State University collegiate chapter in Allendale. These additions bring the total number of local associations to twenty-one and the collegiate chapters to eleven. Plans already are underway for two more new local associations.
MMTA is very proud of six of its members. Joanne Smith, nationally recognized piano pedagogue and past president of MMTA, has been selected as MTNA's Teacher of the Year. Natalie Matovinovic of Ann Arbor has been honored as an MTNA FOUNDATION Fellow. ...
