Bangkok Airways is building an airport in Trat and a hotel in Sukhothai as well as expanding its passenger terminal on Samui Island, Krungthep Turakij reported.

Bangkok Airways has bought land in Trat to build a new airport. The project will cost 300 million baht and is scheduled to open at the end of the year.

The airport will help bring more tourists to Chang Island and will also serve as a centre for exporting fresh fruits from eastern Thailand.

Bangkok Airways is also building a new hotel in Sukhothai aimed mainly at Japanese tourists. The hotel will be only two stories high …
