MeridianLink Teams Up with Geotrac.(releases new software, U.S.)(Brief Article)
MeridianLink here, a provider of Internet-based credit reporting software, has released an integrated flood compliance ordering module in partnership with Geotrac, a provider of flood compliance services.
Sellers of credit reports using the MeridianLink browser-based credit reporting system, called Mortgage Credit Link, can provide a flood zone determination alongside the credit report without ever having to leave the Mortgage Credit Link system.
The integrated flood compliance-ordering module provides credit-reselling agencies with a new source of revenue by diversifying product offerings, MeridianLink said.
Flood compliance products and services available through this ordering module are flood zone determinations, comprehensive life-of-loan services and HMDA geographic information. Geotrac uses a combination of automation and manual processes to determine flood zones. Over 85% of the flood zone determinations are returned to the user within 24 hours.
Geotrac's map technicians hand-map properties that are too close to a special flood hazard area and order on-site inspections when necessary for verification, rather than using default zones.
MeridianLink said that credit reselling agencies that utilize the integrated flood compliance ordering module gain a valuable service that requires minimal maintenance. Geotrac, based in Norwalk, Ohio, provides all participating agencies with the required training and customer service support.
