SIDELINE: Shawn Wooten will miss as much as four months after having surgery for a dislocated right thumb. Wooten was expected to get 350-400 at-bats as the righthanded option at first and DH. He also might have received a few starts at catcher. Wooten is one of the club's best pure hitters.
