TOKYO, April 1 Asia Pulse - Toyobo Co. (TSE:3101), its subsidiary Toyobo Gene Analysis Co. and Fujitsu Ltd. (TSE:6702) in April will jointly launch a gene-analysis and research-support business aimed at developing pharmaceuticals, the companies said.

The firms aim to meet growing gene-analysis demand as the use of genome data to develop drugs is expanding. They target combined sales of 8 billion yen (US$60.27 million) over the next two years.
