MEXICO CITY, March 31 PRNewswire- AsiaNet -
Mexicana announced that as of today it has begun a code-share network with Star Alliance partner, All Nippon Airways via Los Angeles, enabling passengers to travel between Tokyo and Mexico City and Guadalajara.
Non-stop flights departing Narita Airport in Tokyo to Los Angeles will be operated by ANA, with connecting non-stop flights between Los Angeles and Mexico City and Guadalajara that will be operated by Mexicana Airlines.
ANA will operate with Boeing 744 equipment and Mexicana will operate with a combination of Boeing 757, Boeing 727, Airbus A320 and Airbus A319 equipment.
Passengers will be able to derive many benefits from this code-share alliance, such as through check-in from point of origin to their final destination, and greater mileage accrual as both airlines are Star Alliance members.
Additionally, passengers holding first class and business class tickets or who hold Star Alliance Gold status will have access to the airlines' executive lounges.
