In spite of its title, this so-called "crossover" album is really a classical album. But it actually fits in the category I'd call a specialty group because of its gimmick. You see, all of the classical pieces recorded here are done on the banjo. Yes, the banjo. Not exactly the instrument that springs to mind when one thinks of classical music. But, perhaps surprisingly, it works pretty well. Barking dogs doing Christmas carols it ain't.
