Pinewood and Shepperton ,Studios are being kitted out by Sohonet in a bid to connect the studios digitally with London's post community and, theoretcially, the rest of the world.
Michael Grade will head up the new initiative, which allows the transfer of rushes digitally across the globe and will be sold to the studios' clients on a per use basis.
"I can't see how anyone in the business can live without high speed access -- it's a must-have today," he says.
