First American Forms Default Alliance.(Brief Article)

First American Real Estate Information Services, a subsidiary of the First American Corp., has formed an alliance with Symetrix and an affiliated firm, Specialized Inc., of Virginia to cross-promote default services in strategic markets across the country.

Symetrix is one of the nation's oldest providers of default services to the mortgage industry.

Jay Frappier, president of First American Default Management Solutions, said that the agreement helps First American expand its market reach to key locations.

"Through this agreement, we will cross-promote the respective services and technologies that we each provide to maximize the delivery of efficient, prompt, and superior quality services to our mutual customers, the mortgage servicers.

He said the agreement facilitates cooperation to promote the core business services of each company respectively.
