Just in time for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, Republican Senator Robert Bennett was named "Porker of the Month" by Citizens Against Public Waste (CAPW). The dubious distinction was conferred upon Utah's junior senator for his role in securing an estimated $1.5 billion in Olympic-related federal subsidies.
