Bill Elliott means a lot to a lot of people.

To his fans, he remains "Awesome Bill from Dawsonville"--they have voted him the most popular driver 15 times, more than any other competitor in the history of Winston Cup.

To his competitors, he's the guy who has been there for 26 years and won 41 races--their admiration and respect for him is as strong as his fans'.

And to his still young Dodge team, he is an anchor--the guy who persevered through the trying developmental times and has helped make it a threat in the 2002 points battle.
