It was early May last year, and the Kings still were playing basketball, an oddity in Sacramento, one that called for celebration. After all, it had been 20 years since the Kings had won a postseason series, and heck, 20 years ago, the local pro basketball club was in Kansas City. This was a first for hoops in Sacramento.
