BRUSSELS (AFX) - Belgian investor Albert Frere's holding company Nationale a Portefeuille (CNP) posted third-quarter results which show an increase in nine-month operating profit to 223.6 mln eur from 149.2 mln last year.
Net profit -- which includes capital gains -- rose to 567.5 mln eur from 475.4 mln over the same period.
At Sept 30 2006, the adjusted net assets stood at 311.2 eur per share.
The group said this growth is mainly due to its holding in Transcor Inc and results from "the development of this group's activities and the increase in the price of oil products".
