BRISBANE, March 1 Asia Pulse - Brisbane Airport has reported improved passenger figures thanks to a higher number of people travelling during the Chinese New Year holiday last month.
Brisbane Airport Corporation General manager Cam Spencer said the latest figures for February showed a strong recovery in both domestic and international passenger numbers.
This is in contrast to previous months which showed a sharp decline after the September 11 and the Ansett collapse.
Mr Spencer said the greatest rise was in passenger numbers was from China (up 131 per cent), Malaysia (71 per cent) and Singapore (43 per cent) on February last year.
