BIRMINGHAM, Feb. 28 PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet - TRW Automotive today announced a contract win of $75 million from Toyota to supply the full foundation brake system for the new UK-built Toyota Corolla.
The contract value is an estimated amount over the life of the vehicle program. This contract brings TRW's annual sales for braking products to approximately $US1.5 billion.

This contract is TRW's first full foundation braking systems contract with Toyota. TRW has supplied braking components for the previous Corolla model. Calipers and parking brakes will be supplied from TRW's plant in Pontypool, UK and actuation from its plant in Gliwice, Poland, providing these plants with substantial volume increases.
In addition, TRW provides side impact crash sensors for the Corolla from its facility in Marshall, Ill.
