Hot, dry and windy conditions in the Peninsula, Boland and Breede River Valley will favour the development of runaway fires. GAUTENG: Partly cloudy and hot with a few afternoon thundershowers. The expected UVB sunburn index in Pretoria: Very dangerous. MPUMALANGA: Hot in the northern Lowveld, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but cloudy over the Lowveld with rain towards evening. A few afternoon thundershowers are expected on the Southern Highveld. NORTHERN PROVINCE: Fog patches along the Escarpment at first, otherwise partly cloudy and hot but very hot in the Limpopo Valley. It will become cloudy with rain in the south-east in the evening. NORTH-WEST PROVINCE: Partly cloudy and hot with a few afternoon thundershowers in the east. FREE STATE: Warm in the north-east, otherwise fine and hot but partly cloudy in the east with a few thundershowers.
