Eastern Division. (MTNA Division News).(Brief Article)
Connecticut Music Teachers Association (CMTA) has an exciting new competition for collegiate-age pianists living and studying full time in Connecticut. Winners perform with the Hartford Symphony in a regular subscription concert series. Fabio Witkowski, student of Luiz de Moura Castro, performed in December, and Sae Hee Kim, student of Paul Rutman, will perform in May. In addition, the top three winners perform recitals at numerous sites statewide.
Also, CMTA members presented works for piano, flute and clarinet in a member/teacher recital last September at the Museum of Modern American Art in New Britain.
