Applications are being accepted for the 20th annual competition for the Grace Welsh Prize for Piano, to be held in Chicago, May 14-18, 2002. Pianists of all nationalities born after May 30, 1977, and before May 30, 1984, are eligible. First prize will be a $5,000 cash scholarship award. Additional $3,000 scholarships will be given, at the judges' discretion, as second and/or other prizes. Deadline for applications is April 1, 2002. The number of participants will be limited to thirty.
