The third International Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs will be conducted June 3-8, 2002, at Ed Landreth Auditorium on the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. The application deadline is March 1, 2002, with notification of acceptance by April 1.

Entry is limited to a maximum of seventy-five participants, who must be at least thirty-five years old by June 3, 2002. Applicants may not derive their principal source of income from either public piano performances or piano instruction.

The preliminary round will consist of individual recital programs not to exceed twelve minutes each. Up to eighteen pianists will advance to the semifinal round, where each will present a program of no more than twenty minutes. From this ...
