BOSTON CELTICS: After years of losing, the team has learned that it can be good, especially when it plays defense, keeps turnovers down and moves the ball. When the Celtics are in close games, they usually pull them out, and that didn't happen last season. The team is more patient offensively when it gets behind and isn't as quick to try to make up ground with 3-pointers. The Celtics also have embraced defense, learning they can win when PF Antoine Walker or SF Paul Pierce is struggling offensively. If they continue to be well-rounded, they will remain formidable. --Shim Springer
