Patriots run offense vs. Rams run defense

Against the Steelers' top-rated run defense last week, offensive coordinator Charlie Weis called 18 more passing plays than running plays. That will change this week as Weis will look to use the size advantage of the Patriots' offensive line to wear down the Rams' front seven. The run emphasis also could slow the pace of the game and keep the Rams' offense on the sideline. The Patriots' line is much better at run-blocking than it is at protecting the passer.
