There's big news in prepared foods for all those people too busy or unskilled to even boil water: Don't bother. Just pour Prego Pasta Bake Sauce and a little water over uncooked ziti or rotini, pop the dish in the oven, and you've got dinner, the ads say.
We made baked ziti with the special Prego sauce (tomato, garlic, and basil flavor), $2.50, following label directions. We also wondered what would happen if we used the same directions, including the uncooked ziti, but substituted regular Prego Pasta Sauce, $2, for the special Prego sauce.
