Overpressure valves used with buoyancy control system could stick in open position and cause diver to drown.
Products: 3,500 buoyancy control systems sold 11/97 to 11/01 by authorized Diving Unlimited International dealers for about $590. Systems came in jacket style and a wings style. Overpressure valve is installed in each of these units. Company is recalling all valves with a red pull. "Jacket" model has the "DUI" logo printed on the pocket, epaulet, and weight pockets. "Wings" model has logo printed on epaulet and weight pockets. Devices with yellow pulls are not subject to recall.
