As Chairman of the Honors and Awards Committee this year, I want to extend a personal invitation to each of our NACM members to consider nominating a friend, co-worker or colleague for one of the awards given out each year at the annual Credit Congress. On the following pages, you will find a call for nominees for the National Awards Program. I urge you to read this information, review the list of awards, stop and consider someone you know who meets the required criteria and is worthy of the award, and then fill Out the nomination form and supporting documentation. To assist you, I have listed below some information, which will hopefully aid you in the nominating process.

Overview

The Honors and Awards Committee oversees the creation and process of NACM-National's recognition awards program for leadership and outstanding service to the association and the credit profession. The Committee solicits nominations for each award. After reviewing all nominee applications, the Committee selects the recipient of the award.

Criteria

The selection of recipients is an extremely significant aspect of NACM activities because it is through the recipients that the organization expresses its standards of values. Each nominee, should have made a significant contribution to the credit profession.

Proper documentation must be provided in order for the Committee to consider your recommendations. Nominations received without sufficient documentation simply are not as persuasive as those that do. A properly completed nomination will include a fully completed nomination form, a current resume and a summary of the nominee's achievements, Letters of recommendation are also accepted.
