Greystone Puts Focus on Managing Franchise Loans.(Greystone Servicing Corp.)(Brief Article)(Statistical Data Included)
Greystone Servicing Corp. here has announced the formation of a franchise servicing division headed by Betsy Vartainian, a veteran of this unique niche.
Greystone, a commercial mortgage servicer ranked by Standard & Poor's, currently services $5.5 billion of loans. The franchise business is a new arena for Greystone.
Ms. Vartainian joins the firm from Univest Asset Management, which was the first and only ranked Franchise Special Servicer.
Most recently, Ms. Vartainian was managing director of GMAC Commercial Mortgage's Franchise Asset Management Division, after GMAC had acquired her previous firm.
However, Ms. Vartainian said that she missed working for a smaller, more nimble firm.
She's not coming to Greystone alone. She is joined by Thomas Shaughnessy, Sharon Pollock, Gary Garner, and Debra Suppa, all members of her former team at GMAC.
Ms. Vartainian said the team members complement each other well.
