The big question in Week 17 is about playing time as teams locked into playoff spots might rest their starters. And the good news is that most teams still are fighting for playoff position, even if the postseason berths largely are determined.
Pittsburgh has locked up home-field advantage in the AFC, so Kordell Stewart could take a seat early, as could receivers Plaxico Burress and Hines Ward--all of whom have become good fantasy players recently. Jerome Bettis is even less likely to see meaningful playing time in the final week. Also in the AFC, the Ravens' playoff position could be settled by the time they play Monday night.
It is a little trickier in the NFC. The Rams might rest Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk if they get a comfortable, early lead on the Falcons. This is a week you should consider starting Trung Canidate.
Neither the Bucs nor Eagles figure to provide anything offensively in what could be a preview of a first-round playoff game.
