After September 11, Americans have, famously, given much time, blood, and money to the victims of the terrorist attacks. As hideous as the events were, there was great comfort to be found in the care and aid offered by so many citizens of this country under attack.
Alas, the hands of human wickedness have reached even here. While donations of time and blood surely reached their intended destinations, money is a different matter. Kay Hymowitz reports in the fall issue of City Journal that much of the cash donated to the "September 11 Fund" or "Tribute to Heroes" will actually end up feeding nothing more than New York City's bulging social-services bureaucracies and race-politics factories.
