CHARLOTTE COUNTY -- In meetings next week, planning and zoning board members will consider limits on new buildings on barrier islands that are less restrictive than what they first considered.
County commissioners suggested the softened rules at a workshop Monday but at the same time, the commissioners voiced support for the idea of extending waterfront regulations to more waterways and canals in the county.
