NEW DELHI, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - India's fiscal deficit mounted to Rs 79.13 billion (US$1.64 billion) in the first 8 months of the fiscal year as against the targeted Rs 116.31 billion for the entire fiscal year, mainly on account of lower tax collections.
The fiscal deficit till November works out to 3.2 per cent of GDP as against the targeted 4.7 per cent for the entire fiscal.
