MUMBAI, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - Net investments of foreign institutional investors (FIIs) more than doubled in the year 2001 at US$2,843.3 million as against US$1,492.2 milllion in the previous year, though the volume of transactions was higher in 2000.
FIIs were net sellers in equities only in the month of September, which witnessed terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre in the US, at US$88.2 million.
