Section: Economy - Thailand is making preparations for establishing free trade areas at the bilateral level with various countries. The Government believes that Thai products will be in greater demand in the international market after free trade arrangements.

Commerce Minister Adisai Bodharamik said that Thailand stands a good chance of gaining an advantage over their trading partners, because a great volume of Thai products, mainly food items, agricultural goods, and other commodities, have been exported. He dispelled people's fear that foreign products would flood the domestic market after the formation of free trade areas, saying …
