TSN: It's still early in the season, but are you starting to feel more pressure to be the difference as your team struggles?
MD: No. Like you said, it's early. It's still the beginning of the year, and as a team, we're still trying to get comfortable with the stuff we're doing out there. As a goalie, for myself, I'm just trying to get back into that comfort zone playing games and getting that consistency rolling more than anything else.
TSN: This team seems to be having trouble understanding and sticking to the system coach-G.M. Glen Sather is trying to install. From your vantage point, can you see when things start to break down?
MD: It's hard for a goalie. I'm focusing on the puck. So I'm watching the puck most of the time and watching where the opposing players are. I'm not watching our players. My job is to stop the opposing players. If something happens like (a breakdown in positioning), I see it watching films.
TSN: So you don't see a defenseman out of position or anything as the play is forming?
MD: No. Maybe after the fact, but then it's too late.
