Miami QB Brock Berlin is a lot better than I thought he would be. He made some bonehead plays earlier this year, but he has been throwing the ball a lot better and has better pocket presence than I thought he'd have. I didn't think Jarrett Payton would be the running back he is, either. He's not flashy, but he's a hard-nosed, tough runner.... Kansas State's defense plays with the same type of intensity it always has. It may be a few players short of what it has had in the past, as far as talent, but it is trying to make up for it with aggressive, hard-nosed football. It plays that hard, swarm-to-the-football style of defense, even though it is down a little bit in areas.... Michigan's passing attack has a Sunday feel to it. The), do a lot of multiple formations and multiple routes. They'll start with three receivers close together and then scatter them. QB John Navarre is impressive. He looks like he's in command of the offense. He never gets rattled and has extremely good pulse in the pocket. He looks like he always gets them into the right play. He can throw, too.
