BEIJING, Nov 3 Asia Pulse - Foreign investment in China had been affected by the outbreak of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in the early period of this year. After that, there have been new trends appearing in foreign investment in China.

While the investment in the manufacturing sector maintains its strong momentum of growth, other fields such as retails and tourism, which had suffered a lot during the period of SARS, and pharmaceutical and insurance industries, which enjoyed a booming market in the period, as well as publications and media sectors have become new attractions to foreign investment.
