BUSINESS WEEK : Revenue targets 'Large Cases'.

THE Office of the Revenue Commissioners has restructured its 'Large Cases' division along industry lines to improve its detection of tax evasion or latepayments by high net worth individuals and large corporations.

The aim of the changed structures is to detect people or corporate entities that are payingsome tax, but are evading or avoiding other taxes.

The Director of Consumer Affairs, Carmel Foley, said the proceedings had been issued by her office against the supermarkets following investigations into promotions on baby food earlier this month.
