Maximiliano Martin (Clarinet) and Javier Negrin (Piano): St George's

THE Fantasyland recital was given by two young Spanish artistes Maximiliano Martin and Javier Negrin.

They began with Miguel Uste's Estudio Melodico, which was played with great feeling especially in the romantic, lyrical passages.

Schumann's Fantasie Stucke is a lively work which demands great agility from the clarinetist.

This was certainly forthcoming in this excellent performance, in which the pianist also played an important part.
