REACTING to WBC International flyweight champ Randy Mangubat's vow to break his jaw, challenger Diosdado Gabi yesterday launched an acid verbal assault. Gabi told the champ not to offer any alibis when he dethrones him on November 9 in the main event of the "Encuentro" card at the North Cotabato Provincial Gymnasium.
Mangubat will defend the World Boxing Council International flyweight crown against the talented Gabi in a San Miguel Corporation-backed 12-round war in Kidapawan City.
"It's easy to talk. But he will end up eating his words," Gabi countered when asked to comment on Mangubat's taunt that he would break the challenger's jaw.
